Purpose:
It is established for proper entry in a sterile area.

This procedure is applicable for working in sterility room.

4. Procedure:
· Personnel preparing to enter the sterile area should remove all jewelry from hands ands arms.
· No food item can be brought into sterile area.
· Objects that shed particles should not be brought into sterile area, including pencil, cardboard, cartons, papers, towel and cotton items.
· All personnel should scrub their hands with soap, before entering the sterile area.
· Traffic flow in and out of the sterile area should be controlled to minimize the microbial contamination.
· After drying hands, enter the change room , change the street dress with sterilized uniform along with head cover and mask.
· Frequently disinfect hands with 70% filtered alcohol during dress change.
· Latex gloves should be worn in the last.
· Disinfect the gloves again, check the dress for any mistake and enter the sterile area.
· Do not move from sterility room to change room during the sterility process.
· Personnel should come out and change their dress without contaminating the area.
· Uniform once used, only be reused after sterilization.
