STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE Title: Cleaning Procedure for Sterility room

1. Purpose
It is established to provide a standard procedure for “cleaning of sterility room”.
2. Scope
It is applicable Sterile Areas.
3. Responsibilities
QC Manager
Microbiologist
4. Procedure
1. Filter 70% IPA through 0.45μ filter paper.
2. Prepare a 0.05% w/v solution of Phenol in 70% IPA, for mopping purpose.
3. Mop the tables, walls, floor and laminar flow hood with mopping solution.
4. Mopping of floor, with 15% Dettol in IPA.
5. Fumigate the sterility room with Formalin and KMnO4, monthly
5. Cleaning Schedule:
1. Mopping of floor, walls and laminar flow hood is required daily.
2. Fumigation of Sterility room is carried out on monthly basis.
